El Tropezon emerged in Buenos Aires in the beginning
of 2004. In the course of this year it presented concerts in Argentina
and recorded its first CD, "latido". From August to September
it undertook its first European tour (Germany and Ireland) where it
participated in the World Cultures Festival 2004 in Dun Laoghire (Ireland).
In November it was selected at a competition to form part of the Official
2005 Season Program of the "Culture Department of the City of
Buenos Aires". In March 2005, El Tropezon embarked on a second
European tour through Germany , Italy , England, Ireland and Spain.
In June, the two musicians settled in Berlin. Once in Berlin, they
presented an important concert at the "Passions Kirche"
with the well known Argentinean singer Julia Zenko and the violist
Juan Lucas Aizemberg as special guests. The duo also worked occasionally
with the great Russian Bayan-player "Nikolay Bakulin".
Among the many concerts El Tropezon has given since 2004, stand out
the following: "Mosaiques Festival" (London, 06-2005), "Fringe
Festival" (Dublin 09-2005), Kultur Karnevalle (Hamburg, 09-2005),
Argentinian National Radio (Buenos Aires, 12-2005), "Ignite"
music series of the " Royal Albert Hall (London 03-2006), "1°
Baltijos Tango Festivalis" (Lituania 05-2006), Konzert-Tango
Festival (Berlin, 06-2006).
Future performances include a concert at the Chamber Music Hall of
the Berlin Philarmonic in March 2007.
